With March coming quickly Mozy has released a new set of promotional codes already. They have also announced some changes to the MozyPro program. There will be a desktop version and a server version. The big difference between the two MozyPro offereings appears to be the ability to backup network drives, one of the features I like best about the MozyPro product. There will also be changes in the pricing structure for MozyPro starting in early March so you might want to get in on the current pricing structure before the changes. blank1.gif

Here are the promo codes to save you 10% on MozyHome Unlimited for March:

Just type the promotional code into the promo code box when you sign up and you will get 10% off the total price.

Not sure which Mozy you should use?

  • MozyHome Unlimited – If you have more than 2GB of data you need backed up then this is the account you need. Backup all your photos, documents and important information for only $4.95.
  • MozyPro – If you are a home or small business you need to use MozyPro. MozyPro offers some great benefits over MozyHome. MozyPro server edition includes the ability to backup network drives.

Another service you might be interested in is Box.net. I like using Mozy as a set and pretty much forget backup solution. Box.net offers the ability to store files remotely that you need access to on a regular basis. I am often called out to work at a clients office and I carry a USB flash drive with me with PortableApps installed but the amount of files I need access to is sometimes larger than the room I have on the thumb drive. Combine the thumb drive portable apps and the files saved on Box.net and I have lots of room to store files that I need access to while working away from my office. Box.net has also come in useful to have clients transfer files to me for projects.
