In some ways it does not matter on the network. It more depends on the affiliate manager behind the program you want to promote. Some companies just do not understand affiliate marketing at all and make the terms to promote them to difficult. I know of one program that literaly had in their terms that you could not uae their company name to promote them. Hard to sell them if you cannot use their name.

That said the ShareASale api is very nice and the data and coupon feeds are excellent. CJ not so much.

I know this post was written a while ago but nevertheless it helped solidify my thinking. CJ is out for me. I used to use them but had a bad experience. I think ShareASale might be my best bet. Thanks again.

These are probably the best know networks. There are many more. Some of the newer networks offer some possibilities. I will have to do another write up on some like PepperJam and Market Leverage.

You are correct most people just recommend the same list of affiliate networks. I won't argue with you about that, but you have to wonder why people recommend those networks? I recommend them because those are the ones I have had the best experience with. It is also those networks that have the most name brand clients. What program would I rather be a part of - the eBay program at Commission Junction or an auction video how to course? I would rather promote the eBay program. People know the brand, and I will have better success at the sale converting.

I have accounts at several smaller affiliate networks, but the ones I keep coming back to and having the most success with are the larger networks with well known brands.

Hi! It's a good list for newbies to start. But everyone recommends just the same list of affiliate networks. There are much more than just a few that also provides affiliates with a lot of additional tools to track their campaigns and all sales.

Thanks. I like CJ. They have been doing well for me lately. I really like the smartzones that they have. Makes it easy to manage ads.
